Meeting of IOM Chief of Mission with the Imereti Local Government Representative
On 18 June 2019 the IOM Georgia Chief of Mission Ms. Sanja Celebic Lukovac met with Mr. Zviad Shalamberidze Deputy Governor of Imereti region and Deputy State Governor and Deputy State Representative in Imereti, Mr. Ioseb Khakhaleishvili.
The meeting was also attended by Ms. Natia Kvitsiani, IOM National Programme Officer and Ms. Natia Akhalaia Head of IOM Kutaisi Office and Coordinator of IOM Migrant Resource Center.
Parties have discussed cooperation issues in the context of regional development, diaspora involvement and effective use of human and financial potential of migrants. Concrete steps will be undertaken at the level of municipality to fulfil the aforementioned objective.
