Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Georgia, IOM provides a comprehensive response to the humanitarian needs of migrants, internally displaced persons, returnees and host communities.

The project “Sustainable Reintegration and community revitalization pilot initiative in communities of Return” funded by the IOM Development Fund (IDF) and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) aims to contribute to the efforts of the Government of Georgia to support sustainable reintegration of returning migrants and community revitalization, while contributing to empower migrants and communities as development actors.
The active cooperation is thought with the local municipalities and other local development actors to ensure cross-fertilization and synergies, promote participatory approach in reintegration of returned migrants and development of the communities of return.
