IOM Georgia Organised Training Course for the Counsellors of the Information–Consultation Service Hubs
On 17-18 May 2022, IOM Georgia organized training for the counsellors of the information–consultation service hubs established under the reintegration and community revitalization project, in target municipalities.
Service Hubs are established in close cooperation with the local self-government and aim to provide direct services, counselling, and referral services tailored to the needs of the local population, including but not limited to those with a migration history or intention, regarding the available services/programmes run by the state and non-state actors.
The training aimed to enhance the counselling skills of the participants and consisted of the role-play exercises, where participants had to enact hypothetical counselling of the returned migrants based on different provided scenarios.
The training was organised in the framework of the project – “Sustainable Reintegration and Community Revitalization- Pilot Initiative in Communities of Return”, funded by the IOM Development Fund (IDF) and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC)
