IOM Georgia Organised the Workshop on Cooperation Pathways for Sustainable Reintegration
On 29 June 2021, IOM Georgia organised the consultative workshop on cooperation pathways for sustainable reintegration, with the participation of the representatives from the policy department of the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Health, Labour and Social Affairs of Georgia, the Agency for IDPs, Eco-migrants and Livelihoods Provision and Caritas Georgia.
IOM Georgia presented the findings and recommendations of the field survey on reintegration outcomes among returnees in Georgia, as well as the desk survey on the reintegration system.
The participants of the meeting discussed the future vision and plans of the state reintegration programme and examined the perspectives of the reintegration policy development, based on the recommendations of the presented studies, taking into account different levels (individual, community, structural) and different dimensions (economic, social, psychosocial) of reintegration.
The Parties outlined the opportunities of continuing and enhancing cooperation with IOM Georgia, in the field of reintegration, to support sustainable reintegration of returnees.
The meeting was organised in the framework of the project "Facilitating an integrated operational framework for migrant reintegration, integration and labour migration" funded by the IOM Development Fund (IDF).
