IOM Holds a Webinar on Integration Best Practices for the Staff of Livelihood Agency
On 3 February IOM organized webinar on best practices in the field of integration for Georgia's Livelihoods Agency. for The webinar consisted of two parts. After welcoming remarks from Ana Kakushadze, National Programme Officer at IOM Georgia, Italian field experts – Rosella Celmi, Integration Specialist & Coordinator, IOM Italy; Stefania Congia, Directorate General of Immigration and Integration Policies; Elvio Pasca, expert from National Agency for Active Labour Market Policies (ANPAL) Services and Giovanni Di Dio, expert from the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies held presentations about coordination and information exchange for integration of third country nationals in Italy.
The second session was hosted by Ana Couteiro, Head of Migrants Integration Support Unit, High Commission for Migration who shared policies and practices for the integration of migrants in Portugal to the audience.
After each session audience was able to participate in discussions regarding the information received during the webinar.
This webinar was a follow-up to previous cooperation between the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and Livelihood Agency and another webinar is planned by the end of February.
The webinar was held under IOM’s project - Enhancing Migrants’ Rights and Good Governance in Armenia and Georgia (EMERGE), funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway.
