IOM meets with representatives of partner NGOs - Tanadgoma and Intellect in Batumi
On May 24 IOM Georgia Chief of Mission - Sanja Celebic Lukovac and EMERGE Project Coordinator - Maja Wiebler met with representatives of partner NGOs - Tanadgoma and Intellect in Batumi.
Topics such as migrants' needs, implemented projects, future plans and challenges were discussed during the meeting.
IOM partnered with Tanadgoma and Intellect under its EMERGE project funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway. Under the project, the NGOs studied the needs of foreign migrants in the time of COVID-19, including students, stranded and vulnerable migrants and sex workers and provided them with humanitarian, legal and psychological assistance. Intellect is also working on developing migrant integration plan for Batumi Municipality under the EMERGE project.
