IOM Presents a National Study of Reintegration Outcomes in Georgia
Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration programmes and stand-alone Reintegration Assistance programmes play a key role in supporting the immediate and mid-to-long-term needs of returning migrants and their sustainable reintegration in a country of origin. In the context of such efforts and within the framework of a project funded by the IOM Development Fund called “Facilitating an Integrated Operational Framework for Migrant Reintegration. Integration, and Labour Migration”, IOM is pleased to present a national study of reintegration outcomes in Georgia, capturing for the first time the reintegration outcomes among a representative sample of Georgian returnees who benefited from diverse types of reintegration assistance provided by key reintegration actors in the country.
The findings presented in this report will support the efforts of the Government of Georgia and other relevant stakeholders to further strengthen reintegration assistance programmes available in the country. IOM remains committed to providing technical expertise and support, and facilitating continued monitoring, evaluation, and learning in the sphere of sustainable reintegration in Georgia and worldwide. IOM expresses sincere thanks to the State Reintegration Programme of the Government of Georgia, the Office Français de l'Immigration et de l'Intégration (OFII) in Georgia, and Caritas Georgia for their cooperation in this research effort.
