Thematic Trainings for the Staff of the State Employment Support Agency (SESA)
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in September-October of 2020 has conducted the targeted trainings for the staff of the State Employment Support Agency (SESA), under the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia (MoLHSA). The main topic of the training was the implementation of the concluded bilateral labor migration agreements (BLAs) concluded with France, Bulgaria, Israel, in the field of temporary (circular) labor migration. These agreements target specific categories of the workforce and provide for different employment schemes. It is of importance to systematize the information on the content of the agreements, target groups, employment procedures, for better understanding of the schemes and clearly defining role and functions of the structures involved in the process of their implementation. This was exactly the goal of the IOM thematic trainings conducted for the SESA personnel countrywide.
Special consideration during the trainings, was provided to reviewing the advantages, opportunities and risks of temporary (circular) labor migration, as well as identifying concrete activities important for the implementation of the concluded bilateral agreements with different countries and defining the role the SESA in the process.
Over 50 employees of the SESA were trained during these trainings throughout Georgia.
