On World Anti-Trafficking Day IOM Presents Guidebooks about Human Trafficking to the Agency for State Care and Assistance for the (Statutory) Victims of Human Trafficking
On 30 July, the World Day Against Trafficking in Human Beings, IOM presented the Agency for State Care and Assistance for the (Statutory) Victims of Human Trafficking with the guidebook for social workers working with children who live and work in the streets.
IOM has been supporting Georgia's fight against trafficking and efforts of the State Care Agency for many years. The guidebook prepared with the support of the European Union focuses on the national and international legal framework, victim identification and assistance, implementing a victim-oriented approach in practice.
IOM Georgia Programme Coordinaor, Mr. Marc Hulst and the Deputy Director of the Agency for State Care and Assistance for the (Statutory) Victims of Human Trafficking took this opportunity to discuss further cooperation in the field of countering trafficking in human beings in the nearset future.
