The Annual Women in Policing Conference is organized with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and is sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi. The conference—traditionally held in Tbilisi, Georgia, at the beginning of March to celebrate International Women’s Day—aims to develop the qualification of law enforcers and emphasize the role of women in police.
On 3-6 March 2020 IOM Georgia hosted the 9th Annual Regional Women in Policing Conference in the capital Tbilisi. Every year, since 2012, the event is organized with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi, in particular with the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
